The sale will be held in the Community Room of the Main Library, located at 6 Monteith Dr.
Payment is by cash or check and scanners are welcome.
Book Sale Chairperson Linda Chapron encourages the community to shop early and stock up. “We have thousands of fabulous books at bargain prices” she said.
There are over 25,000 books carefully pre-screened and sorted into categories spread out on tables lined end to end in the library’s community room.
Signs pop up from the piles of books announcing what you’ll find there - “Antiques”, “Travel”; “Health” and many more.  From Art & Architecture to Local History; Business & Politics to Cooking; Literature & Classics to Gardening there are books for everyone.
There are children’s books and paperbacks and CD’s, and DVD’s, and books on CD and puzzles and games.
“We have an entire table of “specials”, culled from the thousands of books donated to the Friends during the year for our book sales because of their value” said Friends of the Farmington Library member Norma Hartley. “These books really are special” Hartley explained. “Some are rare; some are one of a kind.”
“New to the sale this year are 16 mm films” added Chapron.
The Friends of the Farmington Library, with 700 members and a working committee of 35, has provided financial support to the library for programming and materials for 65 years.
